NATO has awarded a €1.2 million contract to install and configure mission-critical cybersecurity capabilities and systems at 22 NATO locations to Grupo Atos.
The company already has a strong track record of collaborating with NATO’s NCI Agency, providing professional engineering services for the design, deployment and configuration of mission-critical cyber-secure infrastructures.
“As the cyber threat landscape continues to intensify with an eye for new digital threats, Atos is pleased to support NATO in upgrading its cybersecurity technologies to ensure the best line of defense, ultimately protecting the interests of NATO. the intergovernmental military alliance”, said Cyril Dujardin, SVP, Head of Digital Security and Deputy Head of Big Data and Security at Atos.

The award covers the upgrade of two key cybersecurity systems of NATO’s resilience strategy:
- the network intrusion detection/protection system (NIPS)
- the full packet capture (FPC) system
Both systems work together so that the NATO Cybersecurity Center, which is part of the NCI Agency, can monitor the organization’s networks for threats and flag major cybersecurity issues.

“This upgrade represents an important step forward in maintaining our ability to defend and protect NATO networks,” explains Miles Knight, Senior Project Director at the NCI Agency.
The objective of this project is to complete the deployments no later than the first quarter of 2023.
