Ibermática achieves record results in 2021

The Covid did not allow Ibermática to celebrate its annual meal in Bilbao again until this year, the only thing in which the company has been affected by this pandemic, since it has closed 2021 with the best results in its history.

We are talking about an increase of 8.8% in turnover, reaching 276 million euros, and a profit before taxes of 54.8%, up to 11.3 million euros. Undoubtedly, some data above the forecasts set by the company itself.

Juan Ignacio Sanz, CEO and General Manager of Ibermática stressed at the meeting, “last year we closed our best year. Not only in billing and profit, we have also increased our hiring figure by 84%, to 416 million, which is equivalent to closing 287 more professionals”.

After the growth experienced in 2020 in the midst of the health crisis, also in 2021, and even with the last throes of the recession hitting the economy, it has managed to boost its figures in all the indicators that represent the evolution of the business.

In total, the company has overcome two years of the health crisis with revenue growth of more than 15.5%, going from 239 million euros in 2019 to 276 million in 2021 (253.8 in 2020). ).

Evolution in billing

Two main reasons stand out among the reasons for this evolution. On the one hand, the increase registered by its area of Advanced Solutionswhich brings together all the digital business and new business that has been launched in the latest strategic plans, going from 78.1 million in 2018 to 119.5 in 2021, 53% more.

The breakdown of these 119.5 million euros indicates that digital transformation projects totaled 27.6 million euros, Hybrid IT (cloud services) 24.5 million, SAP 24.4 million, Smart Factories 24 .1 million, Microsoft 8.6 million, Cybersecurity 7.1 million and Analytics and Artificial Intelligence 3.2 million euros.

Another driver has been the high rate of Contracts renovation, higher than 90%, many of which are extended or derive in other types of services with the same clients. This indicator has to do with the high customer satisfaction, contrasted by the independent report prepared by the consultants Quint and Whitelane Research.

Looking ahead to 2022, Ibermática has set itself the goal of continuing to grow at the same rate. Thus, it plans to increase its turnover by around 5% to reach 290 million euros, with an increase in profit of 1.6 million euros to 12.9 million euros, and increase its workforce to 5,000 professionals to 2025, almost a thousand more.

By sectors, the expected turnover for 2022 would be: services to Manufacturing companies 68 million euros, Consumer 57 million, Public Administration 50 million, Financial Services and Insurance 35 million, Utilities 32 million, Telecommunications and Media 31 million , and Health 17 million euros.

This year, the revenue target through Advanced Solutions will be 146 million euros, 26 million more, consolidating itself as a growth engine. To achieve these figures, Ibermática will also focus on three strategic elements:
