In addition, both Ford and Cisco are working with the City of Detroit to change the way roads and their environment are managed through Cisco Internet of Things (IoT) solutions that will protect and connect cars, roads and intersections.

Ford has committed to investing $50 billion by 2026 to build a new generation of digitally connected and electric vehicles. Its sales of electric vehicles rose 222% last month, growing almost four times faster than the sector.
